As counsellors ourselves, we know how important continuing personal development and supervision are to delivering a quality service to our clients. We also know how complex working with issues such as domestic abuse and sexual violence can be. Indeed, it can be many sessions, after trust has been established with you as the counsellor, before the client will share their past history. At that point, the response of the counsellor can be crucial to continuing the relationship.

We offer training courses in working with domestic abuse and sexual violence for counsellors and other professionals. These are held periodically over the year. Whilst they are generally held over a period of weeks in the evenings to fit in with other work commitments, special courses can be arranged to take place over a weekend or at an organisation’s work-place during normal working hours.
